Would you like to work for the best small communications team in the public sector?*
Like all public sector organisations, our client is going through a period of significant change. They are looking to recruit to their award-winning team someone with a real passion for internal communication and engaging key stakeholders to ensure they take people with them as these changes take place.
Internal Communications Officer
Location: Sheffield, S1
Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £23,398 - £25,951 (Grade 6)
Work Pattern: Flexi time
Our client recognises that the best performing organisations have staff who are fully engaged and feel a key part of a changing environment. Your role will be to understand people’s concerns and communication needs, and help managers to address those needs in ways that are easy for staff to understand. You will also be politically aware and in a position to provide information to staff about how local and national changes will impact their work.
The successful applicant will be a real people person, with excellent writing skills and, hopefully, some experience in using simple graphics or digital media to make complex messages easy to understand. You will be a highly-motivated self-starter, who can use their initiative and perseverance to find out what you need to know.
You will also develop to be part of our client's 24/7 duty press officer system which attracts stand-by payments for each shift covered.
Closing date for applications is 15:00 hours on Monday 12 June 2017
Interviews will be held on Thursday 22 June 2017
