Due to continued success and growth, Mountjoy are now looking to recruit an experienced Automatic Door / Roller Shutter Engineer to join their Portsmouth based team

The Role

Reporting in to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful Automatic Door / Roller Shutter Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the right work at the right time; which means a quality job completed efficiently in a safe, clean and tidy way. Daily tasks will include:

• Being accountable for the quality of workmanship, method used to effect the repair, and safety of yourself and those around whilst the repair is undertaken.
• Having the right tools for the trade(s) you perform at all times
• To always protecting the tenants’ property before starting the work and leave the property clean and tidy having completed the work.
• Remaining polite & professional at all times if a tenant becomes difficult, and if needed request support from your supervisor or foreman.
• Owning your allocated job through to completion ensuring the agreed process (value steps) of the repair are being followed.
  • Being able to diagnose the right repair following the value steps.

Candidate Requirements

As our ideal Automatic Door / Roller Shutter Engineer, you will have the following skill and experience:

• Have qualifications or an apprenticeship in the trade(s) you perform for the company.
• Have a full driving licence.
• BS7036 / EN16005 / ADIA Qualified
• Roller shutter repair/Installation experience
• Certification in Record, Dorma products
• Proven experience of working in a Social Housing Maintenance environment.
• Ideally exposure to a Maintenance Contract that has used the Vanguard Systems Thinking Methodology and Principles to deliver maintenance repairs.
